Content Moderation Policy

This Content Moderation Policy is applicable to any Content published by Users on the Squibblle Website and Platform. 

Terms in capital letters have the definition as determined in the Terms of Use.

This Policy must be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use.

1. SQUIBBLLE’s RIGHTS

In order to ensure the proper functioning of our Website and Platform, SQUIBBLLE retains the right to remove any Content that does not align with the guidelines established in this Policy and the Terms of Use. Additionally, Content that has been displayed on the Platform for more than 12 months may be subject to removal.

We also reserve the express right to update the Content of the Website and Platform, including hyperlinks, and information contributed by Users, without prior notification. This includes verifying the accuracy of such content and cross-referencing it with third-party sources.

Should we have reasonable grounds to suspect a User or their Content of violating our Terms of Use or this Policy, we may choose to deactivate some or all of the User’s Content or suspend/terminate their User Account. Notification will be provided to the User, except in cases of legal/regulatory obligations that prevent notification.

2. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

As a Vendor offering goods and services, you must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Ensure that your offerings are truthful.
  2. Do not infringe on intellectual property rights.
  3. Avoid including illegal content in your goods or services.
  4. Refrain from offering forbidden items as outlined in the Terms of Use.

3. POSTS

SQUIBBLLE reserves the right to delete any posted content that violates the following guidelines.

You are not allowed to post inappropriate or unsafe comments, such as:

  • Abusive language, including but not limited to, insults, hateful or hostile remarks, calls for violence, as well as remarks discriminating on the basis of sex, race, color, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion, belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited;
  • Comments that engage in political campaigning or endorse specific political candidates or parties;
  • Pornography and nudity;
  • Appeals for money or a visa;
  • Requests for a job or announcements that you are available on the job market;
  • Spam and off-topic posts;
  • Links to pages or videos, especially not related to the subject of the platform;
  • Misleading offers.

This list is non-exhaustive and any content breaching our content moderation policy will be removed. Repeat offenders can be banned from posting further comments.

4. REVIEWS

Users are able to write a review about a specific product or service they have purchased. Such reviews must adhere to the following standards.

SQUIBBLLE can delete reviews that are:

  • dangerous and disrespectful content
    • Hate, discrimination and harassment speech
    • Animal cruelty
    • Content of sexual nature
  • infringing intellectual property rights and privacy rights
  • confidential data
  • spam, misleading content and deceptive practices
  • commercial content
  • illegal content

5. ILLEGAL CONTENT

Content meeting any of the following criteria will be promptly deleted. Repeat offenders may be banned from the Platform.

A. Dangerous and disrespectful content

  • Hate, discrimination and harassment.
    We do not permit any content that promotes violence, discriminatory language, or hatred towards individuals or groups based on various characteristics, including age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, race, immigration status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, caste, political opinion, and serious diseases.
  • Violent, offensive, and restricted content
    We prohibit:
    • content that promotes, facilitates, or encourages any form of violence against others, including threats, endorsements, or declarations of violence.
    • obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content that is not suitable for all audiences.
    • content that promotes, sells, advertises, or facilitates the sale of regulated or restricted goods and services.
    • terrorism-related content, which includes material that promotes, supports, or incites terrorism acts, or that endorses or represents any terrorist organization, its leaders, or associated violent activities. Additionally, we do not permit content that, in our sole discretion and in alignment with the Consolidated United Nations Security Council Sanctions List, promotes, supports, or incites violent extremism, or that endorses or represents any organization engaged in violent extremism.
  • Animal welfare
    We prohibit animal cruelty, meaning that we do not allow the following content:
    • content that displays or promotes direct interactions with wild animals.
    • content that displays animals kept in captivity under poor welfare conditions.
    • content related to activities, entertainment, or sporting events known to cause distress and harm to animals.
  • Content of sexual nature
    We do not permit content containing sexually explicit material, nudity, or pornographic acts. This encompasses all forms of content, including text, digital images, and animations, that endorse, promote, or depict child sexual exploitation or sexualized content involving suspected minors (also known as Child Sexual Abuse Material or CSAM).

B. Intellectual property, privacy and confidential data

  • Intellectual Property
    We respect intellectual property rights, which means that we:
    • review reported cases of intellectual property infringement and take action to remove instances of infringing or suspected infringing content.
    • disable accounts or otherwise restrict access to users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Personal and other confidential data
    We take privacy and data protection seriously. Our Privacy Policy is available at Privacy Policy.

We prohibit content that could potentially compromise the privacy of our Users. This includes instances where Users disclose personal information about others, such as sensitive or special-category data. This also encompasses the sharing of credit card numbers, national identification numbers, driver’s license numbers, addresses, or any other non-publicly accessible information.

C. Spam, misleading content and deceptive practices

We prohibit:

  • content that is irrelevant to squibblle.com.
  • content that is likely to mislead, deceive, or confuse squibblle.com users.
  • any instances of users misrepresenting themselves or impersonating another person.

6. REPORTING CONTENT

If you encounter any illegal content on our platform or website, please inform us. Your feedback is essential in maintaining a secure environment for all. To report any potentially illegal content, please email us at support@squibblle.com with the following details:

  • sufficiently substantiated explanation of the reasons why you alleges the information in question to be illegal content;
  • a clear indication of the exact electronic location of that information, such as the exact URL or URL’s;
  • your name and email address; AND
  • a statement confirming the bona fide belief that the information and allegations contained therein are accurate and complete.

7. NOTIFICATION DECISION

When we remove content, suspend your account, or terminate it due to violating this content moderation policy, you will receive a notification via email explaining our decision. You will always receive the following information from us:

  • information on whether the decision is a removal of content or suspension or termination of your account;
  • the facts and circumstances relied on in taking the decision, including, information on whether the decision was taken pursuant to a notice or based on voluntary own-initiative investigations and, where strictly necessary, the identity of the notifier;
  • where the decision concerns allegedly illegal content, a reference to the legal ground relied on and explanations as to why the information is considered to be incompatible with that ground; and
  • how to appeal the decision.

8. APPEALING A DECISION 

After receiving a notification explaining why your content was removed or your account suspended or terminated, you can initiate an appeal process by simply replying to the notification email.

During the appeal process, our content moderators will reevaluate your content in accordance with our content moderation policy. They will determine whether the content is suitable for display on our platform and website. You will receive notification of the outcome of our review via email.
